Basque Soul.
Santa Barbara Heart.

Nestled in Santa Barbara’s historic El Pueblo Viejo, Dom’s Taverna draws inspiration from the bold coastal cooking of Spain’s Basque Country and the abundant ingredients of California’s Central Coast. From dock-fresh seafood to locally cured meats and vibrant farm produce, every plate celebrates the producers who make it possible—and the guests who gather to enjoy it.

Honor the ingredients, respect the process, and create experiences that reconnect people to food and to each other.”

A Toast to History and Craft

Our marble bar has been the heart of this address for decades — first at Pascual’s, now reborn at Dom’s Taverna. The stone, reclaimed from a 17th-century church, still carries the marks of its past. We restored and repaired it with gold gilding in the tradition of Japanese kintsugi — honoring imperfections, celebrating resilience. Here, classic technique meets bold flavors, and every pour is an invitation to linger.
